I have thousands, and I mean thousands of photos on my phone. I love taking photographs personally and it's a HUGE part of my job too. But because I take so many, it's so easy for the photos that I take to get lost in amongst the many others that I take afterwards. Some photos I capture are hugely special, like for example, photos of treasured memories from our family holidays and occasions such as birthdays and christmasses, and so rather than sit on my phone, I think they deserve to be brought to life. And that's exactly what I've just done with our recent family trip to Billund.
To bring our treasured family holiday memories to life, I decided to create a photo book through CEWE who you may know are a leading European photo printing service. What I loved most about creating this book is how easy it was to do and the different creation options that are available to choose from.
I designed my photobook using CEWE's Creator Software which is free to download on their website and offers a huge range of customisation tools and creative designs. But you can also use the online editor which can be a quicker way to create, but with fewer personalisation options. And then there's also the CEWE mobile app which is ideal for using predesigned templates for quick, on-the-go editing.
What was great about the creator software I downloaded was that I was able to move my photos about wherever I fancied, and put as many as I liked on each page, wherever I wanted them. I was also able to add graphics from their library too which added something a bit different and helped to bring our story to life and make it a bit more personal. I also loved being able to add a map into the book too, which I felt was a brilliant touch for a holiday / travel photo book. And of course, I could add in my own text too and then customise the colours, fonts and location of the text.
For the book itself I opted for the square design with matte photographic paper and the outside of the book itself is finished in high gloss. The quality is really lovely - some of the text on the front and back of the book has been embossed and the pages feel really nice and thick, it feels very premium. It's a perfect size for having on a coffee table or up on a shelf.
I am absolutely thrilled with how my photobook has come out and I love that I now have such a lovely keepsake for our family to look back on to relive our fun holiday memories.
Creating a CEWE photobook really does make a unique and special gift for a loved one, or for yourself! So if you're looking for a meaningful and sentimental gift idea or if you're stuck for ideas for someone who is hard to buy for, creating a CEWE photobook full of your own or their treasured memories and moments is a perfect idea! We absolutely love ours! You can create your own unique photobook at cewe.co.uk.
