Asides from the warm weather, one of my favourite things about summertime is the lighter evenings. I love that it feels like despite the fact that there aren't anymore hours in the day, you can really maximise the hours that are there. The lighter evenings, whilst keeping my boys awake a bit longer in the evenings, suit me perfectly as a blogger and a vlogger as I have so many more hours available to me to be able to take photographs and film videos for my youtube channel. I also really like the fact that the summer feels so much more spontaneous compared to the routine of winter - spontaneous walks to the park, or strolls around the woods in the early evening is a luxury only the summer really allows for and I just love it!
A little while ago we were kindly sent some items from Lighthouse Clothing to celebrate their new Spring Summer 18 collection. We're big fans of Lighthouse already, in fact you've probably seen my boys wearing their rain jackets before in photographs and videos here on my blog and on my YouTube channel. One of my favourite things about their items of clothing is that really stand out, they are usually very colourful and full of bold patterns. Something like a rain jacket goes from being just your bog standard sort of rain jacket to something more vibrant, fun and full of personality.
The quality of their clothing is always fantastic too - take this Annabelle scralet stripe dress I'm wearing here for example - I just know from the quality of material used that I am going to be able to get so much wear out of it. I picked this dress out on a bit of a whim as it's not something I'd usually gravitate towards but I actually love it. It's so easy to wear, I love the summery/spring colour and the stripey design, plus it even has pockets(!).
Ethan and Logan's new rain jackets are just lovely, they are exactly what I wanted for them. Logan's is the Atlantic Eclipse Stripe, which is actually currently on sale down from £29.95 to £19.95 and Ethan's is the Atlantic Whale Print jacket again currently on sale for just £19.95. I can't recommend their rain jackets enough - they wore their previous ones for years until they became too small for them and even to this day they are in a perfect condition. They are made to last and you can't really go wrong with the lovely bright, colourful prints and patterns that you can choose from either.
My new rain jacket is the Anya Blue Sail Dot Jacket and it's super comfy and lightweight too. It has two deep pockets on either side and a handy pocket in the inside too. The material is lovely and as with all of the other items of clothing it has a really high quality feel to it. If you're looking for something for the wet windy days then this is such a great jacket that is currently on sale for £44.95 down from £64.95.
I also can't not mention this absolutely beautiful multi-coloured striped long sleeved top too which I am completely in love with! It's the Causeway Breton Top in Multistripe and it's currently just £23.95 in the sale. It's perfect with jeans to really brighten your look up during Spring and on the cooler Summer days or evening and the quality of the material used is just, as with everything else, really lovely. This truly is the perfect spring/summer long sleeved top!
