With the two week Easter break from school coming up I thought I would share some of the easy Easter and Spring crafts we've been making to help inspire you if you're looking for things to fill your days with your children. Sadly, I've heard it's going to snow (!!) over Easter, so I hope these will be useful for any indoor days you might have. I promise you that they are all easy to do, lots of fun and very seasonal.
For the daffodils cut out a medium star shape, then glue one of the your cupcake cases in the middle. Glue the green lollipop stick to the back to complete your flower.
For the tulips, cut out a medium sized heart shape and then cut out a half heart shape (or leaf shape) again with the red card. Stick them together and glue your lollipop stick to the back.
For the chick vase to put your craft spring flowers in, add two googly eyes to the front. Then cut out a diamond shape using orange card or paper, fold it in half and stick that on for the nose/beak. And then add two chick feet to the bottom using some more of your orange card or paper.
Spring flowers Craft with Chick Craft Vase
This one requires 1 x yellow paper cup (I got mine on either Amazon or eBay). Colourful cupcake cases, green lollipop sticks (from Amazon or eBay too), some googly eyes and some coloured card. For the daffodils cut out a medium star shape, then glue one of the your cupcake cases in the middle. Carrot footprints
For your carrot footprints you'll need some A4 pieces of paper, orange paint and green paper or card, plus glue and scissors. Get your little one/s to stand in the orange paint using a paper plate on a washable paint mat on the floor or alternatively paint their foot with a paintbrush (have wipes handy). Then get them to stand directly on to the white paper, make sure you press their toes down also. Once dry cut out around the footprint and then cut out some green strips for the top of the carrot and glue them on. :)
Easter bunny paper plate mask
For your Easter bunny paper plate mask you'll need some pink card or paper, a white paper plate, a straw, cellotape, glue, scissors and a different coloured card (if you wish) for the whiskers. Cut along the paper plate in half ensuring you make sure to cut two round bits in the middle for the bunny's nose/mouth. Use the rest of the plate to cut two leaf shapes which are the Bunny's ears. Cut smaller leaf shapes out of your pink card/paper to go inside of the ears and then stick them together and on to your mask template. Cut out eye holes ensuring that they match up with where your children's eyes are. Add a nose and some whiskers and eyebrows if you wish and then stick a straw on the back with the cellotape to make sure it's nice and firm.
I hope you have fun making your own! If you want a better look at how to create these then please do watch my video below. :)
Thank you for reading.
