It's the most wonderful time of the year (and probably the most expensive too!). There are so many gifts to buy in December aren't there?! And when you're splashing out money on presents for friends, family or colleagues you want to know that what you're buying is something that they're going to love don't you?
This year I've decided to round up some of my favourite items and share three gift guides, one for women, one for men and one for children, starting with some festive gift ideas for her! I hope you'll like what I've chosen, I've tried to provide links to where everything can be purchased. But if you have any questions then please do ask. :)
The first item that I'm starting with is this gorgeous dark brown Joules quilted jacket from cho.co.uk, which has become one of my personal favourite jackets. The fit on it is amazing and it has nice-sized pockets on too. I think the dark brown colour is stunning, but it's also available in black if you prefer. The jacket is currently on sale at cho.co.uk for £79.96 (with a usual price of £99.95) and I think it would make a really lovely gift for someone who is on the lookout for a new coat/jacket.
You can't really go wrong with a new hat this time of year can you? And I think this Barts Sandy Beanie from tiso.com would make such a lovely gift. It's been hand knitted in gorgeous colours and there's also a soft fleece lining inside to help keep your forehead extra warm and a bright pom pom on the top to finish it off. Available for £27 at tiso.com.
The next item on my gift ideas for her list is this gorgeous Limited Edition Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette, which has been on my personal wish-list for a while now! This palette features the 'Day Eye', the 'Desk Eye', the 'Date Eye' and the 'Disco Eye' and is perfect for all occasions and all seasons. It has amazing reviews across the Internet and is sure to already be on a lot of people's Christmas wish-lists. Available at charlottetilbury.com for £60.
If you know someone who is looking for some new skincare products then these next products might be perfect. The DHC Beauty Life Eye Care Essence Roll-On (£24) is a soothing, massaging eye treatment with oat kernel extract that firms and smoothes and works with skin to manage fine lines and any dryness. And the DHC Astaxanthin Collagen All-in-One Gel (£40) tones, hydrates and brightens. if you haven't heard of it already, Astaxanthin is an antioxidant which is derived from freshwater green algae and is widely considered to be 6000 times more powerful than vitamin C. Both products are available to buy from dhcuk.co.uk.
The multi-award winning Magnitone BareFaced Daily Cleansing Brush (£89.99) is such a perfect gift for the beauty-lover! The Vibra-Sonic Technology works deep into the skin to naturally take impurities out of pores and boost micro-circulation, making your skin feel softer, brighter and beautifully conditioned. The Shimmer Collection is available in a festive pink rose and serenity blue at Magnitone.co.uk
These Giftscents Reed Diffusers from Wax Lyrical are such an amazing idea for a gift. They are just £7.99 each and have been inspired by the traditional gift card concept. Inside the box which opens up like a Christmas card you can personalise the gift by filling out the 'To" and "From" sections. There are three fragrances to choose from and I've got all three going in my house in different rooms and we love them all!
Another thing that I think makes such a perfect gift from Wax Lyrical is their Reed Diffusers. I personally love their RHS Fragrant Garden English Lavender 100ml Reed Diffuser because I love the smell of lavender so much! I think their Reed Diffusers are good value (£20) considering the size of them and I like that you can buy refills separately too.
This book is just £4 from Amazon and though I haven't yet read it as I've put it away for Christmas for myself, I am so excited to get stuck in o it! The description reads, "Little Black Book: A Toolkit For Working Women is the modern career guide every creative woman needs, whether you’re just starting out or already have years of experience. Packed with fresh ideas and no-nonsense practical advice, this travel-sized career handbook is guaranteed to become your go-to resource when it comes to building the career you want." It has glowing reviews and I heard about it via a friend recommendation.
These next two things I found via FindMeAGift.co.uk which is a great site for finding present ideas, especially so for this time of year. I think these Biscuits made totally of chocolates are a brilliant (and very tasty!) idea (£13.99). I also love the Pug Mug (currently £5.49). It's very cute and would make an ideal gift for anyone who loves pugs!
If you are buying for somebody who loves to style their hair, then InStyler have some amazing products that they are sure to love! InStyler's GLOSSIE Ceramic Styling Brush (£79.99) combines the ease of a hot brush and the control of a flat iron to create shiny, straight, smooth hair that lasts, whilst adding volume and bounce. And the InStyler MAX (£69.99) allows you to style, straighten, smooth or curl your hair in just one tool. With a 2 way rotating barrel, the InStyler MAX transforms hair - letting you easily control the direction of the rotating barrel without ever having to switch hands. Visit instyler.co.uk for more.
For the beauty lover, The Hero Project offer some amazing products that she will be sure to love. Their HD ready skin perfector (£24) with Dual Diffusion Technology is brilliant at making skin look picture-perfect and camera ready! It helps create a noticeably uniform skin surface by filling fine lines and wrinkles plus covering spots and pores, helping to make those problematic areas become mattified, smooth and silky with no filter needed!
They also sell a highly rated hand and nail therapy product called Hand Rehab (£15) which hydrates and strengthens hands and nails leaving them soft and moisturised with no greasy after-feel and it also contains SPF 20 to protect from UV rays.
And lastly I wanted to mention Baylis & Harding who always have such lovely affordable gifts out this time of year. But this year I feel like really outdone themselves because everything is so lovely and there's such a variety! The Beauticology range has their Carnival Treats products in with products that contain fragrances such as Candy Apple and Sweet Caramel Popcorn. I personally think that their Boudoire collection and their La Maison collection are so lovely too. And I'm a big fan of their Christmassy candles which I think make great gifts. Another product I love of theirs this year is their gold, frankincense and myrrh hand wash (pictured below) - it is honestly the best smelling hand wash that I have ever used, I don't want it to run out!
And so that's it - those are my gift ideas for her this year! I hope this has been helpful and I hope that you've enjoyed reading through my guide. :)
Thank you so much for reading.
