A while ago we decided along with Adam's side of the family that we wanted to book a holiday all together before Adam's brother and his girlfriend go back on their travels. We decided on Crete in Greece and we found an all-inclusive resort called SENTIDO Vasia Resort & Spa that seemed to tick all of the boxes.
We got back from our holiday just over a week ago and we truly had the most amazing time. I celebrated my 29th birthday whilst we were there and it was the best way to celebrate - I spent the day by the pool in the gorgeous Crete sunshine and even booked myself in for a 50-minute massage with my sister-in-law. We watched the sunset with a glass of wine that evening and then Adam's parents kindly slept in our room that night so that we could go 'out-out' and we went and visited Malia which wasn't too far away from where we were staying.
On one of the other days, we hired quad bikes whilst Adam's Mum kindly watched the boys for us and we drove them around the island (well, I sat on the back of Adam's!). It was such a fun experience and one I'm so glad I got to do. We chose the hottest day to do it, but it was great because the breeze was amazing! We drove the bikes up really high and then stopped at a really pretty family tavern that was almost hidden away at the top for an orange juice before continuing on back down looking over at stunning views of the sea and of Crete.
We spent most of the other days around the pool in the sunshine and it was perfect. The boys loved the pool and it was so relaxing. Because there were so many of us, there was always someone in the pool and the boys just had a blast! We also had Konfidence float jackets for them both, which if you haven't already heard of them are honestly so worth getting for things like pool holidays. They take the pressure off of you in terms of worrying about if your children accidentally fall into the pool as the vests act like armbands and keep them afloat. My boys aren't really a fan of armbands but they liked wearing their jackets and we all saw their confidence over the week just grow and grow. By the end they were so confident that we let them take their jackets off for a while, it was brilliant to see!
The resort itself was absolutely amazing - it was clean, modern and the staff went out of their way for you. The Animation Team who put on the entertainment were incredible - super, super friendly (in fact so much so that we got chatting to one of the ladies for quite a while and she now follows me on Instagram, so hopefully she might read this!). They were also incredibly talented and really encouraging and enthusiastic. They really helped make it a great holiday for us! Our family suite was also perfect. We had two rooms joined together and we could separate the rooms with a sliding door. We had a large bathroom which had a stand-alone shower and also a bath with shower over it in. It was so spacious and we had everything we needed, we even managed to somehow get an amazing sea-view and we also had a gorgeous view of the sun setting in the evening! The food was brilliant and we ate really well as vegetarians with lots of choice each night. I generally find that Greece is really accommodating of vegetarians anyway, but I had worried about the variety of choice with an all-inclusive, so we were very pleased to find we had lots of options. Drinks were available all day until 11 pm and that included cocktails (which were very, very nice!!). ;)
There were so many amazing things about the resort and so many brilliant moments to our holiday but as you can imagine, I took quite a lot of photos so I want to share as many of them as possible below. I also tried to capture lots of our holiday on video and I've made it into a montage vlog, so if you'd like to see that you can watch it over on my youtube channel or find it embedded at the bottom of this post down below.
