When it comes to shopping nothing quite excites me as much as getting new things for our home does. I love finding new little bits and bots to add to different shelves or new things to update existing. I'm really into home decor and I can't wait until our home is just as I envision it to be in my head, although to be honest, we've got a little while to go until then, as we're planning on adding a side extension and a new kitchen onto our home in the next few years.
You may remember my post the other day about being invited to the brand new (literally just opened at the start of this month) Homesense store in Bedford, which isn't too far from us (if you missed the first post then you can read it here). Well, I managed to get over there the other week and I have literally fallen in love with the entire shop! As soon as I walked through the doors I spotted things that I loved and wanted to own.
The new store, located in St John's Retail Park, has two floors filled with a huge amount much to choose from such as cookware, furniture, lighting, decorative items, bedding, bathroom accessories, gifts, seasonal decor, stationery, pet accessories and lots, lots more. Asides from the many different departments, I also love how Homesense always has something for everyone, with different products to suit all tastes. I found Homesense to be such a unique shopping experience - it feels less like shopping in a big department store and more like you're somewhere much more fun, where you continually come across interesting and unique things that you instantly love.
If you don't already know, then Homesense is part of the TK Maxx family, so if you already a fan of shopping at TK Maxx for fashion, then you'll love Homsense for your home buys just as much. And like TX Maxx, their products are for sale with savings of up to 60% off their original prices, so whilst you're finding new and interesting things that you love for your home, you're not having to pay through the roof for them!
Below I will leave you with some of my photos of the new store as well as some pictures of some of the new things that I picked up whilst I was there. :)
Above and below are just some of the different aisles and different departments at the brand new Bedford store.
Here's Ethan testing out the products. ;)
The new Bedford store excitingly has two floors to browse.
Logan flashing me a little msmile. If only he always looked so happy when out shopping with his Mummy! ;)
It was great to find that there was so much for the garden too. I loved these little garden ornaments and I actually picked up a different cat (shown below) for our garden and even managed to get a gargoyle one for my Step-Dad for his birthday.
This was one of my favourite aisles, pretty much because I have this weird love for baskets and storage boxes!
I also loved browsing and smelling my way through the different candles.
Below are just some of the things that I picked up during my trip. I love everything that I got and I can't believe that I didn't pay more than £20 for anything individually. It's all such good value as well as being really good quality.
Who else can't get enough of stationery? My Husband always tells me off for buying so much of it, but I just have this thing for pretty stationery and I couldn't resist this new notebook, set of pens and notepad. They're so pretty and now live proudly on my desk! :)
We also chose this clock for our home office. We didn't have one before as we couldn't find one we both loved. So we're so pleased to have finally found this one we both really like, at Homesense.
I picked up this dinosaur themed toy storage basket to have somewhere to put all of Ethan's many dinosaurs in. We were using a much smaller box, but his collection outgrew it, so this new box is perfect as it holds so much inside, plus the lid means we can cover all his dino's away when he's not playing with them.
I love, love, love this little airplane trinket/model that I found. Ethan is really into planes, so much so that he has a plane themed bedroom, so this was such a perfect find for his room! We've placed it next to his globe for now, but I'm thinking of getting some of those small corner shelves to perhaps put it and the globe on, so that I can display them even better.
We also picked up a new bath towel, a book for Logan, a Star Wars mug for Adam and a some new hangers for me, in pink and gold! I thought they were a really good price considering how pretty they are for hangers and the fact that you get 25 of them for £7.99.
This the garden ornament I chose, I love it! (It had to be cat of course! ;)..)
And I even managed to pick myself up a bit of make-up too!
As well as some new cocktail glasses and a new vase for flowers.
At the very top of this post, you can also see a new frame that I picked up and a new rather cool-looking gold coloured candle. I absolutely love them and think they suit our decor so well.
We had such a lovely time browsing the aisles of the new Homesense Bedford store and we're so happy with what we managed to come away with. If you're local, it is so, so worth a visit, but if you're a bit too far, you can always find your nearest Homesense store at http://www.homesense.com/find-a-store.
If you've shopped at Homesense before, what's been the best thing that you've ever bought from there?

This place looks amazing. And very dangerous too. I love buying home decor stuff at the moment. I am changing all the rooms at the moment and giving them the final touch.
ReplyDeleteWe have a stone cat outside for years. I might have to add a second one to the collection. :) xx
