We have very recently finished potty training our eldest Ethan who is three. It wasn't a quick process, definitely not one of these 'done in three days', but when you've got the rest of your life to use a toilet what's the rush?
It is however, such a nice feeling to know that he's fully potty trained and that we don't have to keep on asking tree hundred times a day, "Do you need the potty?". He finally knows the feeling of when he needs to go and will just go to the potty or the toilet himself, only asking for help if he needs it.
Recently we introduced the Tiny Toes Octopotty to him and he thinks it's brilliant - mostly I think because of it's fun animal design, the fact that he had his own little toilet roll in it and the lid for some reason.
Available from Amazon, the Octopotty has been designed to be ergonomic and comfortable and even has a splash guard to prevent accidents. It has a removable bowl, so that it's easier to clean and get rid of your little one's toilets. Because we leave the potty out all of the time for Ethan, I love that with it's lid on it doesn't look like a potty, more like a fun toy. And one thing that makes the Octopotty really stand out for us is the fact that it has a toilet roll holder in the lid - it's so fun for Ethan, plus it means we've always got toilet paper at the ready!
The Octopotty has fantastic ratings and reviews over on Amazon and comes in a choice of three different bright colours, blue, green or pink. At £20 or just over I think it's fantastic value for money, considering how much Ethan loves it.
