But it's a post I just didn't get around to pressing publish on - I had filmed a few video clips to make a little video of our family day out in the sun and those video clips are still sitting (collecting dust) in my iMovie library! (Oh the life of a busy Mum!) But I thought since I went through the trouble of editing the pictures we took and because I love them so much, and also because I am still not feeling this whole Autumn/Winter colder weather thing I would still publish this post, just without the video!
Of course when I say post, I really mean photo diary. It's a photo heavy post, but there's lots of sunshine in the photos so hopefully it'll make you feel a little warmer if, like me, you suffer far worse than everybody else seems to with the drop in temperature this time of year!
Stowe is a Capability Brown designed National Trust landscape garden in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire and is not very far away from us at all. In fact it's so close that I can't believe we hadn't been before. It was such a beautiful place to spend the day exploring, everything was of course utterly picturesque and the gorgeous summers day helped to make the day feel that much more nicer.
Before we began exploring the gardens and all of the amazing monuments and structures dotted around, we of course tucked straight in to a picnic we'd brought with us. Adam could barely wait to get in to the gardens before declaring that it was time for lunch(!).
After our picnic we simply started walking, there was so much to see - literally everywhere you looked, we actually never made it around to seeing everything! But that's totally fine by me as it gives us a reason to return! Anyway, I will stop rambling and get on with showing you some of the photos that we took as I feel that they show Stowe's beauty far better than I can explain it.

As a typical Londoner, I'm yet to venture over to Stowe but you've certainly made it look beautiful!
