I haven't done a home decor update in a while and I know that a few people have asked me recently for an update on our loft conversion and redecoration of our bedrooms. The truth is - now that it's down to us to put the final touches to all of our rooms, getting finished has taken a bit longer. Mostly because balancing finishing off our rooms with looking after our boys, working and having time for ourselves is like trying to squeeze blood from a stone at times! BUT we are getting there, we're working hard and I am excited to see the rooms totally finished this month. I will, of course, share room tour posts/videos as soon they're done. I just sort of wanted to share them finished rather than half done.
Something that we have managed to successfully get pretty much finished are the prints and frames for our house. We recently discovered an online store called desenio.co.uk, which turned out be exactly what we had hoped to find when it came to getting frames for our rooms.
I've often had similar Scandinavian-style prints and frames catch my eye on other websites, but often I've felt they were a little overpriced. The prints and frames we have from Desenio are fairly priced but without compromising at all on quality.
Adam and I were looking for the exact sort of frames that they were selling, with the exact same style of art prints. We both spent ages excitedly going through the entire website together picking out our favourites, before coming together and making a final decision.
Both the frames and prints were packaged with great care when they arrived and I was so excited that I opened them up straight away and then text Adam at work to tell him how much I loved them.
We've put most of them up now, with a few left to go on the walls and we'll be replacing some of our existing frames in the house with these for unity, so we'll be ordering some more.
Here's a look at some of our frames and prints so far..
(Hi lazy Sammy!) Our new bedroom is not yet finished, but here's a sneak-peak and a look at how we've used the frames in our bedroom. The wedding photograph is a 7x5 we had already, so we just got a new frame and insert for it.
They have a fantastic selection of prints for children available, including lots of colourful ones too and some really pretty ones that would look beautiful in a little girls room. We're going with a star theme for Logan's new bedroom, so this one was perfect for him.
All of our prints and frames are from Desenio - if you are looking for something similar, you can find all of their posters online.
I adore your style Alex - so fresh and simple but uber stylish. Love these prints, I like having them displayed in my home too. It's looking gorgeous. Jess xx
ReplyDeleteThese prints are gorgeous Alex... And as a scandi family ourselves.... We love all the white! Our loft conversion is half done, so will check these guys out once we get to the decorating stage!
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely! I want to do a gallery wall in our new house, and these are perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love these. I am planning on doing a feature wall in my dining room for pictures keeping the theme grey and white. xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning :) I wish my bedroom looked so beautiful, I have to say I'm a little bit jealous xx
ReplyDeleteLovely quotes and prints. I love the idea of putting them on a shelf over your bed, it looks great X
ReplyDeleteI love these prints and I have just got a picture shelf for our dining room and needed some inspiration as to what I should I put on it. How true is the one about breathing, such a gentle reminder that sometimes we can't be super parents every single day x
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking - Jess xx
