My Baby's Name Is | Review and Giveaway

I love being able to use my blog as a platform to support newly created and up and coming brands as well as the more established sort of brands out there. It's totally different, but also quite similar, but I remember that as a new blogger it was incredibly hard to get myself 'out there' and to establish a readership. These things take hard work, dedication, lots of promotion and of course time and it's the same sort of thing for these newly created companies and brands who are trying to establish themselves and reach their target audiences. So for that reason it's nice to be able to offer some support. 

When designer, Husband to Halina and Dad to Matylda, Szymon Klos, recently contacted me and introduced me to his brand new company - My Baby's Name Is, I was really drawn to both his product and his story. A product designer, who'd spent eight years working as an accessories designer for luxury brands in London, Europe & the Far East, he'd enjoyed the 9-5 for a long while, but always wanted to create his own brand and run his own business, he was just waiting for the right opportunity. 

When his wife found out she was pregnant with Matylda, they started looking into baby products and got interested in baby sleeping bags. Drawn to the functionality & versatility of the products but not really convinced by the design and quality of the sleeping bags currently available on the market, Szymon decided that this was his chance to make something new and so his company My Baby's Name Is was born. He really wanted to make his baby sleeping bags something to be 100% proud of, so each detail has been meticulously designed, sourced & manufactured. Daughter Matylda has also been doing her own quality control testing and has passed them all!

The packaging has been kept simple, but I really think it's the simplicity that makes it so great. In my opinion, the fact that the sleeping bags are packaged so nicely in a really lovely box mean that they would make for a great gift for a new baby. 

The My Baby's Name Is sleeping bag comes in a choice of five different colours - Rebecca Red, Yasmine Yellow, George Green, Benjamin Blue and Gabriel Grey. Logan is wearing Gabriel Grey, I selected this particular colour for him as I love the grey and think it looks really modern on him.

The sleeping bags come in a choice of three different sizes 0-6 months, 6-18 months and 18-36 months and there is a choice between either a 1 tog or a 2.5 tog. Logan is just two weeks old, so we have the 0-6 months size for him, which despite him being so young fits him around the neck perfectly. Some sleeping bags worry me when they're this young even if they say they are suitable from newborn as they seem too loose around the neck, but this one is perfect. We have a 1 tog for him, being that it is summer and it's great in that it's not thick so we don't worry about him overheating, but it's still something to put him in that gives him the same level of comfort and warmth that having a blanket over him would. For autumn and winter I would definitely advice a 2.5 tog. 

I've always been a big fan of sleeping bags for babies and I own quite a few already as we used them with Ethan. My Baby's Name Is says that 'Sometimes good design means as little design as possible' and their collection of simple, honest and functional sleeping bags certainly are brilliantly designed. They're made from ultra-soft cotton, the flaps at the top secure safely and easily together with press fasteners and you can even personalise the collar label by writing or sewing in your baby's name.  I feel like Logan won't outgrow his bag too quickly, it fits him perfectly without swamping him around the top and length wise he still has lots of growing room, which will easily take him up to six months. It's a great baby sleeping bag with a fantastic choice of different colours to choose from.
