What's In My Toddlers Easter Basket?

I can't quite believe that we are nearly approaching Easter - already! Didn't 2015 literally just begin?!! It's crazy how fast the months fly by isn't it?! Anyway since we are just one week away from celebrating Easter, I thought it was about time to show you what's inside of Ethans Easter basket this year. He's coming up to two years old - in fact he'll be two in just under three weeks time, so he's at a nice age to start appreciating things like an Easter basket and finding things to go inside of it was relatively easy.

His white basket is from Wayfair and I picked up some yellow ribbon to go around it from eBay or Amazon (I can't remember which), inside the basket is some yellow pastel coloured tissue paper just to sit everything on so it doesn't just sink into the basket. Plus I thought the pastel yellow was quite seasonal. :) Here are his Easter gifts..

We picked up Spots First Easter and Cheep Cheep in Waterstones the other day whilst in town, we choose these specifically (over the more obvious choices of Peppa Pigs Easter book or the Thomas The Tank Engine Easter book, because we wanted to get him pop up books. He is obsessed with pop up books at the moment and always chooses them over his over books at nap and bed time. He is a massive Spot the Dog fan and so Spots First Easter was an obvious choice for us. I think he'll love these. The other two are both from Poundland and as such were just £1 each, I thought they were good value and quite seasonal since they feature Peter Rabbit!

Ethans Easter egg was also from Poundland and was an obvious choice for us as he is a huge Peppa Pig (and George Pig) fan. The yellow duck chocolate lolly was £2.99 (or perhaps £3.99?) from John Lewis. We didn't get much chocolate for him as he just doesn't need it being so young and I know that he's getting chocolate eggs from family.

We picked up this Easter Colouring Book and Make Your Own Easter Set from The Card Factory for just just a pound each. I'm so glad we managed to find some seasonal bargains for his basket, as I really don't feel the need to go overboard with things like this and spend a ridiculous amount of money. I found some Easter colouring books priced at over £7 each, which when you compare it to the above for a pound seems pretty over the top!

  1. I always love putting together my kiddos' Easter baskets. Last year they were matchy but they have some different things this year, like a cuddly bunny for her and a snap game for him. So nice to put a bit of thought into it rather than just grabbing an egg at the supermarket. I'm sure Ethan will love the things you've put in his basket. x

Hope you have a lovely Easter.

Crazy he will be two in a few week's i remember reading all about him turning one last year and it does not seem so long ago.
