I'm back with another home decor post, I hope you don't mind, but it's one of my very favourite topics (as I'm sure you are all more than aware of)! ;) Today I thought I would share some of my favourite types of inspiration for ensuring that whilst the rooms in the house are kept tidy/clear/modern, that all available space is also used!
Our new house has a lot less storage space in it compared to our old house which was a new build, so we really have to maximise the space in each room to it's full potential. Being lovers of the contemporary look, we don't like clutter, so I'm often browsing places like Pinterest and home decor sites myself looking for the latest inspiration to maximise space in awkward nooks and crannies. Right now I am a little bit in love with the Harpsden range of fitted furniture from Hammonds. The range offers something for everyone with the white and ivory shades being ideal for those who prefer a more classic look and the rich praline, light praline and stone finishes adding more of a contemporary feel. Here are some of my favourites as some examples..

Firstly, I absolutely love the use of space here for log storage. Not only does it look brilliantly rustic and add character to the room but it is also totally practical too. I want to do this in my home! The built in wardrobes either side blend in to the room really well and I love the finish on them as well as the modern, sleek silver handles.
Here are some more of those beautiful sliding door wardrobes. You can just about see how much room there is inside of them, but yet when the doors are across - you have a modern, clear contemporary room. This colour also adds more of a classic feel to the room I think.
You only have to look at Ethans bedroom to know how much I love this beautiful grey-brown colour. This room is absolutely gorgeous and I just love how the wardrobes are made to fit even where the wall arches over, this is such a great use of space and it looks amazing. I absolutely love the mix of wardrobes with shelving in between them, it looks so good!
I thought this last one was definitely worth sharing!.. I love that what was probably wasted space before has been made into what is now quite a large amount of work top space with storage underneath it. It is perfect as a little workspace/study area. I love the use of shelves along the wall of the side of the stairs and the glass display cabinet next to them not only adds more storage but makes the area feel larger and gives off a modern/contemporary feel. It's so clever!

I love built in storage and the ones with the slanted ceiling look gorgeous, love the colour too! x
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of these rooms, and all the natural light! So lovely!
