Starting to collect items together for baby #2 is making me so excited. It's bringing back so many great memories of when I started putting things away for Ethan before he was born, it's such a fun time imagining your baby using the things you've got for them. I really do love the whole process of preparing for a newborn! Here's a look at some of the things that we've got so far and also some of the things I've been using during my pregnancy..
Straight after we found out baby #2's gender, we went over to Mothercare and brought this Little Brother Big Giggles Bodysuit. I had such an urge to buy something that said Little Brother on just to mark the amazing occasion of finding out his gender. I really love the cute little box it's packaged in too! :)
I never know what to expect with stretch mark creams, I don't know if they really work or not. But I wanted to use a cream/oil on my stomach anyway to try and prevent any new stretch marks from appearing. I've been using the Remescar stretch mark cream which apparently uses the same silicone gel that doctors use to help heal scars. As I already have stretch marks from having Ethan I thought this was well worth a go, and so far so good, I haven't seen anything new coming through.
I've also been using pregnancy pillows this time around. I didn't use them before when pregnant with Ethan and I don't really know why. I cannot and have never slept without a pillow in between my legs as I feel really uncomfortable (even without being pregnant), so I thought it made sense for me to have a pregnancy pillow. I've got the Boppy Cuddle Pillow and the Boppy Pregnancy Wedge and they're both really good, I feel so much more comfortable in bed now and they give great support. (Plus I love the gorgeous patterns on them). ;)
I've never tried anything from the brand NUK before and so I really want to give them a go. We've got the above bits ready and waiting for baby #2 and I am pretty excited to use them when he arrives. The bottles in the Perfect Start Set look like they'll be really good and the tiny bottles have got me so excited for newborn cuddles whilst feeding. I will keep you updated about how I get on with NUK, as I can't really give a full opinion on anything until baby is here to use them. :)
I am falling a bit in love with the aden + anais brand at the moment and have been lusting over so many of their products. I really want to get baby #2 some swaddles and a muslin cloths from their website as they have such amazing reviews and they look so soft. I've got their Vintage Circus Dream Blanket which I think is perfect for Ethan to use as a general blanket as well as baby #2 to use for tummy time. I absolutely love their new circus print and apparently these get softer after every wash, unlike most blankets. Which when you think about how much you have to wash baby stuff like blankets, is pretty impressive.
Having another baby is such a great excuse to get more baskets (Yay!). Being that I am a basket obsessive, these Wayfair willow lined set of 4 white baskets make me very happy indeed. I absolutely love them and what's more is they are HUGE. They come as a four pack and the biggest of them is much larger than I expected in a good way, with the others decreasing slightly in size as they get smaller. They are the perfect colour for a new baby and will fit perfectly in to my bedroom whilst he stays with us for the first six months and also into Ethan's bedroom which will become both of theirs when baby #2 moves in as he gets to six months, until we hopefully get the go ahead on an attic conversion.
Thats a lot of baskets lol But I like them myself. I used them to store my stationary.
