It's coming to the end of 2014 now and it's also nearing the end of Konfidence's swimologists programme (boo!). Ethan and I have loved working with them so much, we cannot thank them enough for getting us into swimming. They offered us the chance to take up 10 baby swimming lessons using their swim suits and products and though I wasn't sure myself as I wasn't a fan of swimming pools or swimming in general, I felt that I couldn't turn down such a fantastic opportunity for Ethan.
The first lesson didn't go so well, we'd picked the wrong time to go (during Ethans usual nap time!) and Ethan was so unsure of the water. But determined not to let first day nerves beat us, I took him back at a brand new time a few days later and we literally haven't looked back. To see Ethan now, you'd never believe he could do what he can at his age in the water and he absolutely, truly loves going, he has so much fun and it is so lovely to watch him feel so confident and happy. If I'm honest, swimming lessons are not something I would have signed up to before being given this opportunity, but my god I am so glad that we were asked to be swimologists for Konfidence because taking him each week is one of the best things! We both look forward to it so much and we are now signed on to take lessons every week for the foreseeable future. If you're reading this and considering taking your little one/s along to swimming lessons - I whole heartedly recommend it! A massive thank you also to Swimkidz who are who we go swimming with, they are absolutely brilliant!!
I've written several posts about our swimming journey including.. 'What's in our swim bag?', 'A personal insight: Fears' (to do with my anxieties with swimming) and one about becoming an 'Official Swimologist'.
To celebrate it nearly being Christmas and of course, our wonderful journey with Konfidence, I've teamed up with them to offer one of my lucky readers the chance to win a £50 voucher to spend over on their website: www.konfidence.co.uk which is full of some of the most amazing swimming related products around!
