In the summer we'd be at the park pretty much every week. It's only a five minute walk for us from our house and Ethan really loves going. It's never packed as we live in a quiet little village, it's just an ideal place to go for when we want to get out of the house.
Since the weather has turned colder, we've stopped going. I'm a big baby when it comes to being cold and so I just haven't been able to bring myself around to the idea of spending any more time outside than I absolutely have to. But last week, I decided to brave it and with gloves, hats and scarves layered upon us, Ethan and I (oh and Charlie) went for a little walk together. He thought it was brilliant, and I suppose that made the numbness in my hands, nose and feet feel somewhat better.
Ethan also finally had the opportunity to wear his brand-new wellies. They are from Start Rite and are called 'Mud Busters'. They have a fleece lining to them which keeps his feet nice and warm and provides a bit more comfort than traditional wellies. And they have an elasticated top which keeps any moisture (i.e. rain water from the puddles he jumps in) out. ;)
We were recently sent the new Trunki ToddlePak Harness to review, so our walk to the park provided us with the perfect opportunity for us to test this out too. I think it looks really lovely on - we opted for the red colour after a long hard ponder over which to go for, and I'm very happy that we did. (The colour choices are really awesome!).
The ToodlePak is very easy to get on - it fits from the front in one quick, simple movement and has a unique clip which allows you to easily adjust the shoulder and waist straps simultaneously to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. It really is so simple to use! And it can be used both as a training rein for first steps and a leading rein for when they're a little older. We had no issues at all with it and Ethan hardly noticed he had it on. For £17.99 it is so worth the money.
Trunki and I have teamed up together to offer one of you the opportunity to win a Trunki ToddlePak for your own little one.
