If I Could Live Anywhere I'd Live..

As I'm sat typing this, the rain is pouring down outside. I have the window open, so I can hear it hitting the ground. It's August, and so it's summer, but I don't mind - I love the rain. There's thunder too and I'm really hoping it doesn't wake Ethan from his nap. Otherwise this post could well end up being cut rather short. - Mummy duties and all!

So what's the relevance of the weather to where I'd like to live if I could? Well, that would be because the rain reminds me of my special place, the one place I'd choose to live given a lottery win or something similar.

See, if I could live anywhere I'd live.. In the Lake District!

Here are a few bullet points as to why:

- It is absolutely stunning!
- It rains. A lot! Which I like!
- It's peaceful, so peaceful!
- I feel like I learn more about myself whenever I am there.
- I always feel more inspired when I'm standing in the Lake District staring at one of the waterfalls.
- Photograph backdrops would at all times be 100% - sorted!
- There are random sheep everywhere!
- The Lake District caters EXTREMELY well for vegetarians!
- There are so many places to visit! Literally, SO MANY!
- Everyday could be a day for exploring!
- Adam and I had our honeymoon there and it was also the same place that Ethan had his first holiday!

There are so many reasons why I love the Lake District. But for now I will leave you with a few photographs of mine from the beautiful place itself..

  4. Such lovely photos!!
I've only been to the Lake district once, for the day...I think it was Kendal we went to...I wasn't very impressed but it was very rainy and we were only there for about 5 hours so probably not enough time to see much! (plus I was only about 17 at the time so probably very easily bored!)

I do have a lot of friends who visit all the time for holidays, so it's probably somewhere I should re-visit properly at some point!!

  5. Gorgeous photos Alex. I too love the Lake District. I love the rowing boats on Lake Windermere and having a look around all the little shops, especially the Beatrix Potter shop in Bowness. Reading this makes me want to go back!
How cute is Ethan in his little lifejacket!?
