Ah.. Sunday, the day of rest! Well, is it really anymore?!
It appears to still firmly be a 'family day' for most people which is nice to see. I often see families going for walks (usually with a dog or two) or going for a nice meal together. Perhaps staying home with a home-cooked meal and a movie. And maybe, for those who fancy something a bit different, even attended the opera to see Peter Grimes.
It's one of those days that really you can just do anything with. And yes, those Sunday evenings can be a bit of a bother, mentally and physically preparing to go back to school or work, it's a bit of a come down. But it's also a time for reflection, on what hopefully was a wonderful weekend. That is, if you had the weekend off, which these days is a bit of a rare treat for some.
I, currently, like to spend my Sundays with my Husband and my Son feeling totally relaxed knowing that that is a day that we right now, all have together. We may get a few jobs done around the house, that get left during the busy weekdays, we may sit and watch a movie, or go out and see family. Sunday is just one of those days, that has an air of family about it and of relaxation.
How do you spend your Sundays?
We like to chill all day and then put some casual, comfy clothes on and go for a big meal in the evening!

I like to get all my chores out of the way and spend the rest of the day chilling out, catching up on blogs, watching some TV and then have a huge relaxing bath x

Aww sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Jon works on Sundays, so Saturdays are our family days! Sunday is Mummy & Tyney day when we sit around in our PJs playing and snuggling!
