It's become largely apparent that catching some 'me' time these days is almost near impossible. Gone are the days of sitting down with a bit of dinner at 6:30 just in times for Hollyoaks. (Thank God for Sky+!) And that's okay, it's all part of being a Mum. So when I do steal a little bit of time for myself, I appreciate it that much more.
I had a little of this time a few days ago. Adam was off of work for a week for my Birthday which was relaxing for me as it meant he was here to help out with Ethan during the weekdays. I decided to paint my nails with the new Barry M nail paint I'd got for my Birthday. I really like it, though, I am perhaps a little pale for it, it's the perfect shade for Autumn.
I also got to mess around with two fantastic beautifying products I'd been kindly sent. The Braun Silk-epil 7 and the Emjoi MICRO Pedi and by the end of it all, I felt as good as new! Here's my verdict on the two..
Emoji MICRO Pedi
I am not at all a 'feet person'. I think feet are gross and I have bunions myself. So, I've never had a pedicure and I don't buy anything special for my feet. A bit of nail polish and they were done as far as I'd been concerned. As soon as I started to use the MICRO Pedi I understood! I understood straight away why people go for and pay for pedicures; my feet have never felt so soft! And not just that, I, myself, cannot remember when I had ever felt so relaxed. To tell the truth, I couldn't and didn't move for an hour after I'd finished using it - but Shh don't tell my Hubby who was downstairs looking after our baby! The secret is in the unique micro-mineral roller which spins 360⁰, at an amazing 30 times a second, painlessly removing microscopic layers of hard, dry skin. Yep, that's right no pain and it didn't tickle me at all and trust me - I have the most ticklish feet. It's an awesome little award winning device and it gets my full recommendation! If you're interested in this, you can find it here.
Braun Silk-epil 7
This is the Braun Silk-épil Xpressive Pro 7681 Wet & Dry Rechargeable Epilator. I'd never tried an epilator before I was sent this, so I had absolutely no idea what to expect. If I said that it didn't hurt a little, I'd be lying. But unfortunately, it's the same with any type of hair removal, - no pain no gain, right?! For first timers it's recommended to use wet in the bath or shower as it gives a gentler experience and even smoother results. This epilator has 40 close grip tweezers to remove hairs as fine as 0.5 mm from the root, to leave skin feeling smooth for up to four weeks! It is cordless and even has an awesome smartlight which helps find even the finest hairs! I love that it has speed personalisation, as it makes me feel more in control which I feel is important when it comes to hair removal, and for more control and precision it also comes with five attachments including a shaver head, a trimmer cap, an efficiency cap, a sensitive area cap and a facial cap! Take a closer look here.
Braun Giveaway!
I think it's so important, especially so as a new Mum, to find time to relax and recharge and to beautify ourselves so that we feel special. There has to be 'me' time otherwise we begin to run on empty. So to help my readers feel a bit more beautiful I've teamed up with Braun to offer you the chance to win your own Braun Silk-epil 7 epilator! All you have to do to enter is use the rafflecopter form below. This giveaway is open to UK residents only.
